SUSANNAH WILSON
Actor
About Me
Susannah currently lives in New York with her cat, Pussy Willow.
She is a founding member of The Fled Collective in Manhattan, and a graduate of SITI (Saratoga International Theatre Institute) Company’s Conservatory Training Program. She received her undergraduate degree in Acting from Emerson College, where she also studied Gender & Sexuality— a topic very close to her queer little heart.
Susannah is an immensely physical performer. Not a classically trained dancer, but always a mover, her interest in the body has led her from dabbling in the aerial arts to extensive stage combat training. She has worked in Grotowski-based forms with Western MA’s Double Edge Theatre, before pursuing Suzuki and Viewpoints training under SITI’s tutelage.
Though recent years have steered Susannah into the realm of the physical and experimental, her first love was Shakespeare. She revels in the complexity of his (and other!) texts, but believes firmly that speaking is a physical act, not an intellectual one.
When not onstage, you can find Susannah biking furiously around Manhattan or at the wheel throwing pottery.
